Love Island’s Gemma and Luca say they are 'planning to move in together and get a dog'

Love Island stars Gemma Owen and Luca Bish have given an insight into their future plans, saying they have every intention of moving in together. Speaking at this year’s edition of The Mirror People's Pet Awards, the loved up couple, who first met on this year’s series of the ITV2 dating show told Ok! about their shared love of animals and revealed how they had both grown up alongside them. For international dressage rider Gemma in particular, it was her love of horses that stood out, as she spoke a little about what it was like to have her horse Sirius as a pet.
She said: “Having a horse as a pet is amazing. My horse, he’s more of an athlete really, but he’s a pet as well. He’s great - all animals are incredible! I think the thing with pets is, that you can come home after a long day and they’re always there for you.
It’s just great.” When asked about his experience with animals, Luca went for something a little more traditional, as he revealed he had grown up alongside dogs, cats and fish, but dogs were by far his favourite - something which was reflected in the couple’s plans to get a pet in the future. “We will get one,” confirmed Gemma, before Luca elaborated further on their pet plans. “We’d like a dog.The first thing we’ll get when we move out is a dog,” he revealed.
Gemma and Luca narrowly missed out on winning this year’s Love Island as they were beaten at the final hurdle by this year’s winners Davide Sanclimenti and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu. However since leaving the villa after a Summer of love, the couple have continued to go from strength to strength as they took their time getting to know each other and lay the solid foundations to their blossoming relationship.
