Love Island star Andrew Le Page underwent surgery just two months before the upcoming season. On Monday, the 27 year old real estate agent was announced as part of the ITVbe dating show's line-up of sexy singletons hoping to find love in the Majorcan villa.
However, the run-up to his appearance on the show came with some rest and recovery as he went under the knife and had surgery for an issue he has yet to disclose.Taking to his Instagram account with a throwback snap of himself shirtless while hiking in Dubai, Andrew wrote in the caption: "Easy to see, hard to catch." He continued: "On the road to recovery and can't wait to be back out there exploring again. "The surgery isn't anything major or serious it's something I've wanted for a long time and in due course I will explain what I've had but just wanted to say thanks for the love form everyone who messaged me, I appreciate it a lot #biglove xx".
Meanwhile, speaking of why he's keen to head into the villa, Andrew, from Guernsey, said: "Because I'm actually single for once, so I thought why not? This is the best time to give it a go." Andrew thinks he's a good catch and shared that, when he's with someone, he's "very loyal," before he added: "I'm a good boyfriend as when I'm with someone I'm all for them." Sharing his romantic side, the new Islander revealed how he once surprised an ex-girlfriend on her birthday with a lavish trip. He recalled: "With my ex, we went out for dinner for her birthday.
I pretended that I got her absolutely nothing, and she was kind of fuming.Then I whipped out that, 'We're actually going to Paris tomorrow'. She was very happy with that!" Andrew will be heading into the villa alongside the likes of Michael Owen's daughter Gemma.
