It's time to start slathering up the suncream because Love Island has teased a first look at the new series ahead of its launch on Monday night. A whole host of sexy new singletons are set to enter the villa in Mallorca in a bid to find love on the ITV show that will kick off on ITV2, with fans of having a say on who couples up with who in the first week. And in a newly released image, host Laura Whitmore can be seen chatting to the ladies as their summer in the villa kicks off with an exciting new twist.
Laura looks sensational in a sleeveless halterneck red waistcoat with a heart-shaped cut-out and matching shorts as she converses with the bikini-clad ladies. Last week, Love Island revealed a major shake-up that the Islanders will have no control over who they couple up with in the first week. Speaking on the Lorraine show with Christine Lampard, the show's voiceover star Iain Stirling said: "Christine, as you know, I've never given any information ever, but I'm coming at you right now with a big fat exclusive.
We're mixing things up this year... Can I tell you? "So basically, this year, for the first year ever, we want you guys at home to play cupid. And you will have your say on which boy couples up with which girl.
"All you have to do is go over to the Love Island app and decide who you want to couple up with who." The poll closed on the evening of Saturday 4 June, meaning the choices are already locked in but won't be revealed until the show airs on Monday evening. Many changes have been introduced to the news series, including a brand new villa and food challenges being scrapped. However, these are not the only ones to be made, as show producer Mike Spencer has confirmed sex will be shown again after a blackout
