Sceptical Love Island viewers were left suspicious that former Islanders Paige Thorne and Dami Hope have been growing too close since exiting the Spanish villa. A clip of them at Tasha Ghouri's birthday looking cosy sparked comments from fans, accusing them of being "too close." Paige, 24, and Dami, 26 were never an item in the Love Island villa but their strong platonic bond was plain to see as they grew to be very close friends over many weeks of chatting on the sun loungers.
Dami is dating Indiyah Polack, 23, whilst Paige is in a relationship with Adam Collard, 26, and on Wednesday night the foursome hit the town together with pals Tasha Ghouri, 24, and Andrew Le Page, 27. All the former islanders posted footage of the occasion to their Instagram accounts, while a fan-created compilation surfaced on TikTok featuring just Paige and Dami - and included a snap of Paige sitting in the middle of Dami and Indiyah.
In another clip Paige can be seen sitting next to Dami and enjoying a little dance together.The video montage was captioned: "Glad to see they all didn't let the negativity affect their friendships." However, some fans were not so positive and accused the pair of looking a little too close in the footage. One said: "The way she's in the middle," adding a crying emoji, while another commented: "I think they’re getting too close to each other." A third added: "They are in love with each other." But others jumped to defend the group dynamic saying it's perfectly plausible that the pair can be close friends and sit together without it being anything more.
