He was Foreign Secretary from 2016 to 2018 and Mayor of London from 2008 to 2016. Johnson was Member of Parliament for Henley from 2001 to 2008 and has been MP for Uxbridge and South Ruislip since 2015. Ideologically, Johnson identifies as a one-nation conservative.

Lorraine Kelly issued a savage social media statement that Boris Johnson must be happy Prince Andrew is distracting people from his party scandal.

The Prime Minister is currently embroiled in another controversy after he admitted to attending a "bring your own booze" gathering in the Downing Street gardens during the first national lockdown.

The PM's future is hanging in the balance after he issued a grovelling apology to the Commons yesterday, but tried to make excuses saying he thought he was attending a “work event” outside his office and home.Scottish Conservative leader Douglas Ross has already said that Johnson should resign for even attending the rule-breaking event.Former Scottish leader Ruth Davidson said the PM's apology would do little to stem public anger, tweeting: "I'm not convinced today drew a line under anything either."However, just in time to distract from Boris Johnson and the Conservative party scandals, it was announced that Prince Andrew will face a civil trial over claims he sexually abused Virginia Giuffre when she was just 17.The Duke of York had his bid to stop the case thrown out by a US judge who dismissed a motion by his legal team.The case will now go to trial in a major blow for Prince Andrew as his reputation takes another hit.Judge Lewis Kaplan ordered the trial over Virginia Giuffre's claims that the Duke of York abused her when she was one of Epstein's 'teen sex slaves'.After Lorraine's savage tweet, her replies were inundated with fans who were shocked at the sassy statement from the ITV presenter.One wrote: "Lorraine can be a savage.
