Lorraine Kelly was embroiled in a heated debated with Prince Andrew's ex-girlfriend Lady Victoria Hervey as she defended the royal.
The socialite appeared on Lorraine this morning to talk about Ghillaine Maxwell who has spoken out from her prison cell.
Lady Victoria and Lorraine Kelly appeared to get in a feisty debate as they spoke about a recent interview of Ghillaine's on Talk TV, where she launched a full frontal attack on Prince Andrew’s sex abuse accuser Virginia Giuffre's refuting her account of events.
According to reports, Prince Andrew has amassed a £10million 'war chest' to launch a legal case against Ms Giuffre.
Ms Giuffre brought a civil case alleging Andrew had sex with her on three occasions in 2001 when she was 17 years old.
Prince Andrew has always denied the allegations but settled a US civil sex abuse case with Ms Giuffre outside of court for a reported £12million. The settlement is not an admission of guilt by Andrew, who continues to deny any wrongdoing.
The royal now allegedly wants to 'clear his name' after previously being “pressured” into settling the case to avoid overshadowing the Platinum Jubilee.
His ex-partner Lady Victoria Hervery joined Lorraine to talk about it, but the pair seemed to have differing opinions.
Lorraine said: "So he has always denied it, all these allegations, so why on earth did he pay her off? Why do you think he paid her off?"
She said: "In my opinion, from what I know, he didn't have a choice, he was forced to not.. He basically didn't get his day in court and was not allowed to fight.
Lorraine asked: "Who would have forced him though? For someone like him, from what we know of his character, who would have actually had the power to say to him, 'you're not doing this'".
