London Pride parade to raise awareness for prostate cancer. Dan and Matt shot to fame on the hit Channel 4 show Married at First Sight after becoming the first gay couple to take part.
The couple have now joined forces with Prostate Cancer UK in a bid to raise awareness on the impact of the disease on the LGBTQ community. Matthew, who worked in the charity sector before becoming a reality star, said the cause resonates with him as his dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2004.
Fortunately for Mtthew and his family, the cancer was caught early and successfully treated. He said: “My dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer a few years back, so the work Prostate Cancer UK do in terms of raising awareness and providing support is hugely important to me.
“My dad was lucky that his cancer was caught so early, but there are still thousands of people out there – particularly in the LGBT+ community – who don’t know they’re at risk.
