“Footloose” followed Ren McCormack (Bacon), a Chicago teen who moved to a small town where the local minister (John Lithgow) put a ban on dancing. Singer co-starred as Ariel Moore, the minister’s rebellious daughter who was Ren’s love interest. Ariel also had a boyfriend, Chuck Cranston (Jim Youngs), who physically assaults her because he’s jealous about her feelings for Ren, before they break up.

“Footloose” star Lori Singer still remembers her first meeting and famous kiss scene with Kevin Bacon — 40 years after making the 1984 hit film. “What happened is they had a long lens. It was probably 12 feet, if there is such a thing as a lens like that.

The action series is titled “The Bondsman.” The official logline states that it centers on Hub Halloran (Bacon), “a backwoods bounty hunter who comes back from the dead with an unexpected second chance at life, love, and a nearly-forgotten musical career — only to find that his old job now has a demonic new twist.” Amazon has ordered eight half-hour episodes. Production on the series will not begin until all guild negotiations have been resolved.
