Half of Scottish adults rationing everyday essentials to keep on top of bill payments

A new poll conducted by YouGov for StepChange Debt Charity, has revealed that 43 per cent of the UK population, including 48 per cent of Scottish adults, equivalent to more than two million people, have found it difficult to keep up with household bills and credit payments in the last few months.

A woman who allegedly stalked David Beckham and tried to make contact with his daughter Harper is due to appear in court next week. Sharon Bell, 58, is alleged to have stalked the football legend by attempting to contact him repeatedly and sending him a series of letters as well as trying to contact his ten year old daughter Harper at school.The Metropolitan Police accused Bell of carrying out "acts associated with stalking".
