Liverpool have been handed a double injury boost ahead of their trip to Manchester United next week.
The Merseysiders travel to Old Trafford with both teams looking to awake from their early-season slumber. Whilst United have lost to both Brighton and Brentford and sit bottom of the table, Liverpool have only fared marginally better after posting below-par draws against Fulham and Crystal Palace.
The latter result came amid a deepening injury crisis for Jurgen Klopp's side. That was exacerbated by the dismissal of club-record signing Darwin Nunez who received a red card, earning him a three-game suspension. He will definitely miss the game against Erik ten Hag's side but Klopp has been afforded a boost by the news that two of his key players may be available.

Despite rumours that defensive linchpin Virgil van Dijk had felt slight discomfort in his knee following the stalemate with Palace on Monday. the Dutchman was pictured taking part in full training on Thursday. Long-serving forward Roberto Firmino, who sat out the draw with Patrick Vieira's side due to an unspecified injury, was also pictured in photos of the Reds' session.
Speaking on Monday about the Brazilian, Klopp said that Firmino "might be back [for the next game], we will see”, before adding “Bobby was not enough in the end but will be fine probably from Wednesday onwards."
Despite the aforementioned duo set to hand Klopp a boost, Liverpool are still without injured players such as Thiago Alcantara, Curtis Jones, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Diogo Jota.
