With Liverpool failing to score against Real, they ended their season on an impressive 147 goals in all competitions. However, that fell three goals short of City's 150 that was sealed with the final day comeback vs Aston Villa last weekend.
As Liverpool couldn't add to their 147, City can claim this position as Europe's top goalscorers as another sign of encouragement in their search to dominate the continent as well as the domestic picture.
Behind Liverpool were Bayern Munich on 143 goals, Chelsea with 122 and Champions League winners Real on 119. City beat all of those sides without a recognised striker.
