Brandy has delivered a rapid-fire freestyle over the Fergie-sampling beat for Jack Harlow‘s hit ‘First Class’, a fortnight after joking that she would “murk [Harlow] in rap”.Earlier this month, Harlow appeared on New York radio station Hot 97 and, during an on-air game, wasn’t able to identify Brandy’s 1998 track ‘Angel In Disguise’ (from her hit second album, ‘Never Say Never’). Grey Daze, the band fronted by Chester Bennington before he formed Linkin Park, have shared new single ‘Starting To Fly’.The track is taken from the band’s forthcoming album ‘The Phoenix’, which is out on June 17. It follows last month’s single ‘Saturation (Strange Love)’.Bennington left the band in 1998, but had reunited with them and was in the middle of re-recording music for a new album when he died in 2017.“‘Starting to Fly’ is a new rock anthem that is about finding yourself and your true potential.
Griff has recorded a cover of Queen‘s classic hit ‘A Kind Of Magic’.She has joined six other artists including Ari Lennox and K-pop band TRI.BE who have all shared different versions of the 1986 hit to mark the global expansion of Coke Studio, which originally launched in Pakistan in 2008.The artists also teamed up for a short documentary entitled ‘The Conducter’ which sees them all team up together to perform the track. Angel Olsen has shared her new single ‘Through The Fires’ – you can listen to the track below.The song is taken from her forthcoming new album ‘Big Time’, which is set for release on June 3 via Jagjaguwar. It’s the follow-up to 2020’s ‘Whole New Mess’, which featured a host of reworkings of tracks from Olsen’s 2019 LP ‘All Mirrors’.‘Through The Fires’ is the third preview of ‘Big Time’ to be released following its title track and her March single ‘All The Good Times’.Speaking about ‘Through The Fires’, which you can hear in the below lyric video, Olsen said that the track is “the centrepiece statement of this record”.“It’s a song I wrote to remind myself that this life is temporary, the past is not something to dwell on, that it’s important to keep moving, keep searching for the people that are also searching, and to notice the moments that are lighter and bigger than whatever trouble I’ve encountered,” she added.Olsen and director Kimberly Stuckwisch recently announced a new film, also titled Big Time, that will premiere on the Amazon Music channel on Twitch and via the Amazon Music App next month.

Diana Ross and Tame Impala have shared their collaborative single ‘Turn Up The Sunshine’.The song, which you can listen to below, will appear on the soundtrack for the latest film in the Despicable Me franchise, Minions: The Rise Of Gru.It is the first single to be taken from the soundtrack and was co-written by Jack Antonoff, Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker, singer Sam Dew and Grammy-winning Swedish musician/producer Patrik Berger.The song, which is described as a “joyous,dance-inducing” number, begins with what sounds like the voices of young children repeating the titular phrase, before Ross takes on the lead vocals.The star-studded 19-song soundtrack album also features the likes of St. Vincent, Phoebe Bridgers, Brockhampton and Antonoff’s band Bleachers.
