Refresh for latest…: A wild weekend was had at the global and international box office with major milestones for Paramount/Skydance’s Top Gun: Maverick and Universal/Amblin’s Jurassic World Dominion, as well as a $50.5M result from Warner Bros’ newcomer, Elvis.

While Paramount and Skydance have not officially declared it, industry estimates are expecting “Top Gun: Maverick” to cross $1 billion worldwide on Sunday after it grossed $30.5 million domestic and $44.5 million in overseas markets. That brings its estimated total to $521 million domestic and $484 million international, putting it just past $1 billion globally depending on final Sunday numbers.

Warner Bros’ Baz Luhrmann directed Elvis has grossed $3.5M from all previews off 3,400 locations, which includes Tuesday fan events and last night’s showtimes. Meanwhile Universal/Blumhouse’s Black Phone took in $3M from showtimes that began at 5PM yesterday at 2,800 sites.
