Liam Gallagher ‘honoured’ to support Foo Fighters for Taylor Hawkins tribute gig

Noel Gallagher has been blasted as 'vile' by a charity after he 'blagged' his way onto a viewing platform for disabled people at Glastonbury festival. The Manchester-born musician admitted that a security guard initially stopped him from using the platform before he flashed his 'Access All Areas' pass.

Liam Gallagher praised her hit comedy series Motherland when the pair crossed paths at one of his recent shows.Co-written by Horgan, the BAFTA-winning sitcom follows a group of middle-class mums in west London as they attempt to navigate their chaotic lives and deal with primary school politics.It stars the likes of Anna Maxwell Martin (who plays Julia), Lucy Punch (Amanda) and Diane Morgan (Liz).During a new interview with NME, Horgan remembered receiving some unexpected love for the show while standing side-of-stage at Gallagher’s gig at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium this month.“I went to see Liam Gallagher play and as he was coming onstage, he came over to me and said, [imitating his northern accent] “‘Motherland! Fucking genius!” she explained.“And I thought: ‘What the fuck?!’ That was the last thing I expected. First of all, I never expect people to know me from Motherland, because I’m behind the scenes writing and secondly, I never thought Liam Gallagher would fit into its demographic.”Horgan continued: “I always thought it would be mums in Green Park who watched it, so I absolutely fucking loved that.”Motherland premiered on BBC Two back in 2016, and returned for its third and latest season in May 2021.

A$AP Rocky was so late to arrive at a recent show in Manchester where he was scheduled to provide support for headliners Red Hot Chili Peppers that the band ended up performing before him.Signs at the concert at Old Trafford, Manchester informed those in attendance that A$AP Rocky would close the performance following an opening set by Thundercat, Clout reports. Red Hot Chili Peppers would go on next to play their set before the rapper closed the show with a 20-minute set, which some users on social media found amusing.One Twitter user wrote, “So some dude called A$AP rocky was supposed to support Red Hot Chilli Peppers and arrived late to the gig so had to perform after them.

Liam Gallagher, Mark Ronson, members of Queen and more are all set to play at the tribute gig for the late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins at London’s Wembley Stadium later this summer.Hawkins, the band’s drummer since 1997, died in Bogotá, Colombia on March 25. He was 50 years old.Last week, Foo Fighters announced that, together with the drummer’s family, the band will celebrate Hawkins’ memory and music at two special gigs in London and Los Angeles.
