Liam Gallagher announces huge Cardiff show for September

Liam Gallagher was joined by The Stone Roses’ John Squire at the first of two nights at Knebworth yesterday (June 3).The former Oasis frontman is returning to the venue where the Manchester band played their iconic gigs in 1996 to celebrate the release of his third solo album ‘C’mon You Know’.Squire – who also appeared at Oasis’ Knebworth gigs 26 years ago – joined Gallagher on stage for the closing song of the set, ‘Champagne Supernova’.“A big fucking round of applause for the coolest man on the planet,” Gallagher told the crowd as he introduced him.

Liam Gallagher‘s new album ‘C’mon You Know’ has gained the former Oasis man his fourth consecutive solo Number One album.All of Gallagher’s solo studio albums, 2017’s ‘As You Were‘, 2019’s ‘Why Me? Why Not‘ and his latest, have all reached the top of the UK albums chart, as has 2020’s ‘MTV Unplugged (Live at Hull City Hall)‘.It marks Gallagher’s eleventh chart-topping album overall, including his time in Oasis. Liam Gallagher has blamed hackers for editing his website to announce falsely that his Manchester show at the Etihad Stadium had been cancelled.The soloist and former Oasis frontman took to Twitter over the weekend to tell fans that his headline show was still on. “I hear some [bell]end has hacked my official website saying that the MANCHESTER gig is cancelled it’s not see ya there MCFC CHAMPIONS OF ENGLAND,” he wrote.Gallagher first announced the June 1 show in support of his new album, ‘C’MON YOU KNOW’, last October.
