The Crown actress takes on the role of widowed cleaning woman Ada, a hard-working housekeeper who decides she wants to spend her life savings on a Dior dress, after seeing one being worn by a wealthy client. She scrimps and saves (and gambles at the dog track) to raise enough money and finally arrives at Dior’s Avenue Montaigne headquarters, where she charms everyone. The fairy tale is complete when she moves to Paris and starts making some changes — for the better — at the fashion house.
On Sunday evening Lesley wore a stylish black leather blazer and straight-leg trouser co-ord set, completing the all black look with a pair of patent leather pointed court heels which peeped beneath the trouser legs. Her warm brown locks looked voluminous as it was styled away from her face to showcase her face. Brown shimmering eyeliner made her blue eyes pop and brightened up the dark outfit with a gorgeous red lip colour.
Standing proud with Lesley were her co-stars Rose Williams, who plays Pamela Penrose, Lucas Bravo, who plays Andre Fauvel, and Jason Isaacs who performs as Archie in the new film. Also in attendance Ellen Thomas, who plays Ada's co-worker, cleaner Vi Butterfield, and Lambert Wilson, who plays Marquis de Chassagne. Rose Williams, 28, also went for an all black look with a slim blazer and frilly midi skirt underneath, completing her look by wearing her hair in plaited bun tied up with a black ribbon.
Ellen Thomas, 66, looked sensational in a matching orange, black and navy blue striped shirt and trouser set, with an eye-catching fur-trimmed beige cape. Lucas Bravo donned a midnight blue velvet suit with dark blue patterned shirt, while Lambert Wilson and Jason Isaacs donned suave navy suits for the occasion. Lesley
