After years of combating rumors that she cannot read,  "Glee" actress Lea Michele decided to get in on the joke by posting a TikTok. In a viral TikTok that actually originates from an episode of "Keeping up with the Kardashians" Michele is seen mouthing what Kim Kardashian originally says to Joe Francis in a moment of panic, with the sentence, "Calling Jonathan to read me the comments on my first TikTok," appearing on the screen.

Lea Michele just joined TikTok, and she's proving that she can laugh at herself in her hilarious first post on the app.In the video, shared Sunday, the  actress used audio from the Kardashians to poke fun at rumors that she can't read. Michele holds up a phone as if she's speaking to someone while lip-synching to the audio from a 2017  scene, which sees Kim Kardashian taking a phone call with her friend, Joe Francis.«Hey,» Michele mouths.

Lea Michele‘s currently on stage in her first night as Fanny Brice in Funny Girl, and she just delivered a line that got a lot of reactions.

Glee star Lea Michele has found herself in that exact position after a rumour began circling that she is unable to read. The rumour began to gain traction after the late Naya Rivera, another former Glee cast member, wrote in her memoir that Michele would refuse to improvise during scenes on the show. That point was picked up and spoken about on the One More Thing podcast where the hosts Jaye Hunt and Robert Ackerman joked that Michele must not be able to read since she didn’t rebut Rivera’s comments about her in the press.

Lea Michele has shut down speculation that she is illiterate. The bizarre conspiracy theory originated in 2018 when Jaye Hunt and Robert Ackerman made a 40-minute video for their podcast One More Thing claiming Michele couldn't read and the theory was resurrected on TikTok earlier this year. During an interview with The New York Times published on Thursday, the 36-year-old responded to the speculation.
