Fingers Crossed by Lauren Spencer-Smith rockets to Number 1 on the Official Irish Singles Chart. The 18-year-old Canadian singer and songwriter’s breakout hit enters Ireland’s Top 50 for the first time after receiving a mid-week release last week (January 5) – and tops the chart in the process.

The song’s success has been compared to Olivia Rodrigo’s Drivers License, which flew straight to the top of the charts internationally this time last year.

Fingers Crossed’s success means last week’s Number 1, abcdefu by Gayle, is pushed to Number 2, with just 300 chart sales between the Top 2.

controlling coercive behaviour towards his ex-girlfriend and common assault of her sister, all of which he denies. But a judge told the hearing that the trial could not be held as no spaces were available in the building and other trials with defendants in custody had to be prioritised. And the former Manchester United midfielder will now have to wait until the summer, with the hearing re-scheduled for August 8.Giggs’ Barrister, Chris Daw, QC, said his client was “extremely disappointed” at the decision. He said: "I have of course explained to him all of the facts that Your Honour outlined at the beginning of the hearing."Judge Hilary Manley had explained previously: “Unfortunately it has become necessary to vacate this trial from the list for Monday.”"I'm afraid that other trials must take priority over this one."The judge stated other cases taking priority included ones featuring allegations of rape, where defendants are currently in custody and where trials had already been adjourned previously.Want to be on the ball with all of the latest football news?Well then sign up for the brilliant Daily Star football email newsletter! From the latest transfer news to the agenda-setting stories, get it all in your email inbox - don't miss a thing. It only takes a matter of seconds.Simply type your email address into the box at the top of this article and hit 'subscribe'.And that's it, job done.

'It's revolting' Men Behaving Badly's Neil Morrissey slams The Apprentice candidates
The One Show this evening, the star, 59, who played Tony Smart in the sitcom, didn't hold back as he shared his thoughts on the behaviour of the remaining candidates who are vying to win the £250,000 prize and investment from Lord Alan Sugar. The star spoke to BBC presenters Jermaine Jenas and Lauren Laverne about the new series of The Good Karma Hospital. However, the duo first spoke to The Apprentice: You're Fired! host Tom Allen about the series so far this year. The funnyman gave an insight into this week's show, which sees the remaining contestants set out to create a non-alcoholic beverage. In the clip, some of the contestants could be heard arguing about the amount of salt to put in their beverage.Harpreet Kaur could be heard telling her team to use "five drops of salt, unless you put more and put something like 10".Wanting to try both, Alex Short said to her: "Give it to me once you've done this and we'll put 10 drops in and we'll make one more and we'll do five drops."However, Harpreet thought that they were pressed for time. She said: "We're not making another drink, we're just going with this."However, Alex didn't agree, replying: "Get another one going now."But she soon snatched the vial out of his hand claiming that they didn't have any more time."We're not making another one, please make this" she insisted as her fellow candidates looked on amused at the scene.Karren Brady watched the scene in silence before the entrepreneurs tasted the results of their non-boozy tipple.Following the preview, Lauren went on to ask the actor about his ale company."How easy is it to make your own drinks?" Lauren quizzed the actor."You nearly fell off the sofa after watching that!" Jermaine quipped, commenting on Neil's shocked

Alison Hammond and Shaun Ryder swap frosty words on Dancing on Ice after 'horse s***' jibe
Dancing on Ice, when Happy Mondays member Shaun Ryder had been waiting in the wings to cheer on bandmate Bez on the first episode of the series. However, This Morning presenter Alison Hammond was also there to support fellow ITV star Ria Hebden last weekend - and the atmosphere was reportedly as icy as the frozen rink their friends were dancing on.Some might say that hapless yet heartfelt Bez needed his friend's support, as he faced the embarrassment of becoming the first Dancing on Ice contestant ever to require a crash helmet for his debut performance.Host Phillip Schofield had been gently ribbing the Happy Mondays star, who had even taken to the rink with protective braces all over his body, but he received the comments gamely. This is more than might be said for the brutal exchange between Shaun and Alison.According to the Daily Star, she approached him only to goad him with the words: "I never liked you! From the first minute I met you and spoke to you I never liked you."Shaun hit back to simply say: "I know!"It was far from the first time that the pair had met, after an awkward encounter on I'm A Celeb more than a decade earlier - and perhaps Shaun's words back then provided a clue that explained Alison's frosty attitude to him, after he compared her to "horse s***".Talking on the show, he appeared enraged to learn that a new contestant would be joining them, declaring that 13 was "too many"."Oh, more f**king people in the camp.

an Instagram post marking the first day of shooting.“Can’t wait for you all to see the magic we’re cooking up,” Fraser’s Instagram post read in part as he enthusiastically announced the start of filming.According to the slate, Fraser is one of two cinematographers on the film, the other being Oren Soffer (“Action Royale”). Fraser is currently in the thick of the awards race for his stunning work on the sci-fi epic “Dune” and is due to reunite with director Denis Villeneuve on the “Dune” sequel when cameras start rolling on that film.Plot details for “True Love” are currently under wraps, but the impressive ensemble cast is led by John David Washington and includes Gemma Chan, Benedict Wong, Danny McBride and Allison Janney.Edwards first came to attention for his 2010 low-budget sci-fi film “Monster,” which landed him in the director’s chair on Legendary and Warner Bros.’ 2014 take on “Godzilla.” Edwards stayed in the blockbuster realm to helm the first-ever “Star Wars” spinoff movie “Rogue One,” which was a massive box office success to the tune of $1 billion worldwide. The filmmaker took his time in choosing his next project (“Rogue One” was a challenging production that involved significant reshoots), and he landed on “True Love.” New Regency is producing and financing the feature, which Edwards is also producing alongside “Rogue One” producer Kiri Hart.
