Lauren Goodger taking 'small steps' to 'piece her life back together' after tragic loss

Lauren Goodger admitted she is “broken” in a heartbreakingly honest post last week, revealing it was the “hardest week” yet since the death of her daughter Lorena two months ago. And a source close to the star, who is also still recovering from an alleged brutal attack, has told OK! that Lauren is making “small steps” towards getting back to her old self in the wake of her tragic loss.
Our source said: “It’s been the toughest two months of her life. Of course, she’s not fully back to herself, but she’s taking small steps to get back to that.
"Being a mum it’s easy to lose yourself, but Lauren is starting to reach out to more friends, because when everything happened a lot was going on and it’s been hard to keep up with everyone. "She’s trying to piece her life back together and it’s going to be a long process.” Lauren, 35 – who was pictured running errands last week with one-year-old Larose – is understandably still reeling from the devastation of losing her second daughter just minutes after she was born in July.
At the time, she said, “I will never ever get over this” and described Lorena – who reportedly died due to having her oxygen restricted because of a knotted umbilical cord – as the “most beautiful healthy baby I’ve ever seen”. But as if losing a child wasn’t enough to deal with, the star then had to cope with an alleged assault.
Her former boyfriend and father of her children, Charles Drury, was subsequently arrested, although he has denied the attack.The star was pictured with shocking bruising on her face just hours after her baby’s funeral, and Charles, 25, was arrested before being released on bail.
