Lauren Goodger has been assaulted and left with facial injuries following her daughter Lorena's funeral, according to reports. Lauren, 35, and boyfriend Charles Drury, 25, share one year old daughter Larose together.They also welcomed a second daughter together last month – whom they named Lorena – but she tragically died soon after being born. Less than a month after Lorena’s passing, Laurens' said to have been assaulted and taken to hospital following their daughter's heartbreaking funeral.
In a statement from Metropolitan Police, they confirmed that a 25 year old man had been arrested on suspicion of assault earlier this week. The statement shared with OK! Online read: “Police were called at 00:37hrs on Thursday, 4 August to reports of an altercation at a residential address in Upminster, Essex. Officers attended.
At the scene a woman, aged 30s, was found with facial injuries. “A man, aged 25, was arrested on suspicion of assault. He was taken to an east London police station and subsequently bailed pending further enquiries.” Meanwhile, a source told The Sun: “It happened after Lauren came back from Lorena’s funeral.
“They had a private family ceremony on Wednesday which was not publicised." Lauren's rep declined to comment when contacted by OK!.The news of Lauren’s assault comes after the mum-of-one spoke to OK! about her heartbreak over losing her daughter Lorena. “When I get into bed in the evening, I just want Lorena there next to me,” she told us. “I feel like I can keep strong in the day for Larose, but at night, that’s when it just hits me.That’s when I feel really, really sad and I miss her so much." Lauren continued: "Lorena has a teddy with her now and I’ve got a matching one, which I keep with me.
