Sigur Rós have announced a 20th anniversary reissue of their third studio album, ‘( )’.The new edition of the 2002 record was remastered by engineer Ted Jenson, and will contain B-sides and previously unreleased demos. Friendly Fires have announced a one-off show in London to mark the fifteenth anniversary of their eponymous debut album in February next year.“Time is a flat circle, much like a CD or a record, and one such flat circle that completely reconfigured our lives will be turning fifteen next year”, say the band. “‘Friendly Fires’ only peaked at a modest number 38 in the album chart, but momentum grew via the word of mouth of our small crew of proactive fans, and eventually we had a hit on our hands”.“So next year, we’re going to be getting out there and doing a special show to celebrate this, both for us and for the fans who made it a success”, they go on.

Kendrick Lamar has announced a reissue of his acclaimed second album, ‘Good Kid, M.A.A.D City’, celebrating its 10th anniversary with new physical version featuring a minimalistic cover and unique colourways.Physical copies of the new edition will start shipping out on October 21, one day shy of the album’s initial release date in 2012. It’ll be available on CD, matte grey cassette and two-disc vinyl (in a translucent “black ice” pressing), with the lattermost option also available to buy with the original cover art.The new cover takes the image of the black van shown on the front of the album’s original deluxe edition (released alongside the standard album on October 22, 2012), isolates it, and places it against a darker black background.At the time of writing, the release doesn’t look to feature any bonus tracks or additional material.

I was on holiday in East Flanders and the atmosphere of the house we were staying in set off some voices in my head. There were four characters and they were trapped there but it took me a while to work out who they were” Maskell told Variety.

More trains will start to run between London Euston and Manchester Piccadilly from next Tuesday, under-fire train operator Avanti West Coast has announced. Between the stations, Avanti will run an additional 10 daily trains on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, and an extra six trains on Wednesdays.
