Larry King wins posthumous award at Daytime Emmys

Michael Schneider Variety Editor at LargeRaven-Symoné and Loni Love have been tapped to host the next two Daytime Emmy ceremonies, which will be held virtually this weekend by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.Supplementing the 48th Annual Daytime Emmys telecast on CBS last month, the Daytime Emmys Children’s & Animation awards will be handed out on Saturday, July 17 at 8 p.m.

Courteney Cox, Zac Efron and Mark Hamill have landed nods for the Children's & Animation and Lifestyle Daytime Emmys. Officials at the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced the nominees for their upcoming kids' categories on Monday, three days after the first round of the Daytime Emmys were handed out on Friday.

Nick Jonas had a lot to celebrate on a Monday as he kickstarted the week with some great news. The singer's Netflix film, which he executive produced alongside Brad Silberling, Phil McIntyre, Shawn Levy, Josh Barry and Joe Tracz, bagged 12 Daytime Emmy nominations.

Soap veteran Cady McClain this past weekend won a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Guest Performer in a Drama Series. She earned it for her recurring role as Jennifer Horton-Deveraux on NBC’s Days Of Our Lives. It was McClain’s third Daytime Emmy win, following 2004 Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series trophy for her role as Dixie Martin on ABC’s All My Children, and Outstanding Juvenile Female in a Drama Series Emmy in 1990 for playing Rosanna Cabot on CBS’ As the World Turns.
