Maren Morris doesn't "feel comfortable" attending this year's Country Music Association (CMA) Awards and potentially being in the same room as Jason Aldean and his wife Brittany following their dispute. The country music star got into a social media spat with the Aldeans in late August after Brittany thanked her parents "for not changing my gender when I went through my tomboy phase" and Jason commented that he was "glad they didn't too". Brittany's remark was condemned by singer Cassadee Pope on Twitter, and Maren replied to the tweet by calling Brittany "Insurrection Barbie" and "a scumbag human".

Maren Morris has revealed that she doesn’t feel “comfortable” attending the CMA Awards this year and is possibly skipping the event altogether. The country singer is nominated for album of the year with Humble Quest but may avoid the award show following her feud with Jason Aldean’s wife, social media influencer Brittany Aldean.

Zack Sharf Maren Morris is a CMA Award nominee for album of the year thanks to her record “Humble Quest,” but she isn’t sure she’s attending the November ceremony after she publicly clashed with Brittany and Jason Aldean over transphobic comments they posted on Instagram. Jason Aldean picked up a CMA Award nominee for musical event of the year, meaning the two country artists could both find themselves in attendance at the ceremony. In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Morris said she hasn’t yet decided if she’s going to go the CMA Awards. “I’m very honored that my record is nominated,” she said. “But I don’t know if I feel home there right now. So many people I love will be in that room, and maybe I’ll make a game-time decision and go. But as of right now, I don’t feel comfortable going.”

Guy Fieri's Stagecoach Smokehouse returns to California's Stagecoach music festival this year, featuring a sparkling list of country A-listers to join the restaurateur's BBQ royalty. The event is well-known among Stagecoach fans: With Fieri as their host, country music stars perform above BBQ pitmasters for a national tour of the best of American barbecue. Country Music Association Awards nominations in her first year as a nominee, earning nods in six categories including album of the year, female vocalist of the year and song of the year.Wilson is only the fourth artist in the history of the CMAs to earn six nominations in her first year, following Glen Campbell, Brad Paisley and Kacey Musgraves.
