Strictly Come Dancing contestant Kym Marsh reportedly feared she'd vomit live on air during Saturday night's show after suffering from 'crippling' nausea and dizziness symptoms during rehearsals. The former Coronation Street actress, who is partnered with Italian professional Graziano Di Prima, performed a Viennese Waltz, which involves a significant amount of spinning. That, coupled with the 46-year old's visual vertigo, led to an uneasy night as the pair danced to 'Runaway' by The Corrs.
Kym suffers from the condition after developing an issue with her inner ear, and it can be stimulated by movements and flashing lights. A show source told the Sun : "Kym has struggled with nausea and dizziness all week, and at times she has felt really horrendous, though she has tried to play it down. "The Viennese Waltz involves a huge amount of spinning and there is no way around that - so she has just had to battle through it.
Her partner Graziano has tried to make it easier for her, but there has been a lot of difficult spells and tears, and she has nearly vomited several times. "She was worried that she might be sick, or even pass out, when they danced the whole routine. But she is a trooper, and she was determined to get through.
" Kym first revealed her fears to Rylan Clark on Friday's instalment of It Takes Two: "Well, you see I have got visual vertigo. I had an ear problem about six years ago and it left me with visual vertigo, so basically even moving lights make me feel weird. "I can't do it, so spinning and spinning, there is a particular part in this routine where I am spinning so fast and then he [Graziano] wants me to get up and do a turn on my own.
