During her interview on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the 31-year-old actress revealed that while Jodie Foster played her mom in Panic Room, that role went to Nicole Kidman first!

As Kristen was talking about catching up with Nicole for their upcoming Variety‘s “Actors on Actors” segment, she slipped in the fact that they were supposed to star together in the 2002 movie.
“I spoke to Nicole Kidman for like 45 minutes on a Zoom call, and then she sent me flowers and I was like, ‘Oh my God,’” Kristen recalled.
She then added that Nicole was originally slated to play her mom in David Fincher‘s thriller. But, due to an injury, she was forced to back out.
“We worked together, actually, years ago, and she had to drop out of the movie, she injured herself. But she was gonna be in Panic Room,” Kristen said. “We rehearsed for weeks, I think, in my memory, which it was a long time ago, I was very tiny.”
Earlier that day, Kristen also opened up about her and fiancée, Dylan Meyer‘s engagement party.
