Dolly Parton says she is so sad to have lost her “special friend” Dame Olivia Newton-John, following her death aged 73. The US country legend said she was “so happy that our lives crossed paths” as she joined those paying tribute to the actress and singer online. The British-born singer died “peacefully” at her ranch in southern California on Monday morning, surrounded by family and friends, her widower confirmed.

CBS Studios and 3 Arts Entertainment, which produced Everybody Hates Chris and originally developed the animated reboot, will produce with MTV Entertainment Studios, which has been ramping up its adult animation portfolio with the recently announced Andy Samberg-produced series Digman! joining the Daria spinoff movie Jodie, both the film and series reboots of Beavis and Butt-Head as well as stalwart South Park.

To Kill A Mockingbird, Aaron Sorkin’s hit stage adaptation of the Harper Lee novel currently on a lengthy Covid-prompted hiatus, will not return to Broadway after all, and both Sorkin and director Bartlett Sher are blaming the original lead producer Scott Rudin.

Hayley Atwell’s Captain Carter made her live-action debut in “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,” paving the way for other potential crossovers between animation and live-action.
