The King’s new cypher has officially been revealed ahead of the formal period of royal mourning coming to an end following The Queen ’s death. Announcing the news on Monday after Charles was seen wearing the new logo on his tie, Buckingham Palace confirmed the upcoming change to the iconic ER previously used by the King's late mother.

Charles can be seen looking at the red box containing the papers as he donned a blue pinstripe suit, but in the background a subtle nod to his late mother can be seen.

King Charles III became a grandad for the very first time when he was 65 years old, after the Prince and Princess of Wales welcomed their first child, Prince George. The 73 year old is now a proud grandfather to five children - William and Kate's children, Prince George, nine, Princess Charlotte, seven, and Prince Louis, four, and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's two children, Archie, three, and one year old Lilibet. Charles also has five step-grandchildren through his wife Queen Consort Camilla's first marriage to Andrew Parker-Bowles.

King Charles III wants a "slimmed down coronation" next year on his mother's coronation anniversary.The eldest child of the Queen is set to be coronated next year and could choose the date of Friday 2 June. According to MailOnline, sources have said that the service will most likely be "shorter, smaller and less expensive" than the late Queen's in 1953. However, the service will also celebrate her life.

King Charles III has flown back to Scotland to mourn his late mother privately following the very public state funeral for The Queen on Monday. The Royal Family have begun their own period of mourning for another seven days since privately laying Queen Elizabeth II to rest in a chapel at Windsor Castle after the funeral at Westminster Abbey.

Queen Elizabeth II's funeral were full of love and historical significance. A royal source tells ET that at King Charles III's request, the wreath at the top of the Queen's coffin during Monday's state funeral contained foliage of rosemary, English oak, and myrtle — cut directly from a plant that was grown from the myrtle that was in the Queen's wedding bouquet during her 1947 wedding to Prince Philip. The wreath also included flowers cut from the gardens of Royal Residences in hues of gold, pink and deep burgundy, with touches of white. Rosemary is said to be a symbol of remembrance, while English Oak signifies strength. Atop the wreath sits a personal, handwritten note from Her Majesty's eldest son, King Charles, reading: «In loving and devoted memory.

King Charles III is thinking about turning Balmoral Castle - the Queen's beloved holiday home - into a public museum in her memory of her seven-decade reign, according to reports. Balmoral held a special place in Her Majesty's heart, as she spent every summer at the 50,000-acre estate in Dee Valley, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.

King Charles III and his wife, the Queen Consort Camilla, are "deeply touched" by the outpouring of support given to the royal family following the death of Queen Elizabeth II nearly two weeks ago. "Over the last ten days, my wife and I have been so deeply touched by the many messages of condolence and support we have received from this country and across the world," he wrote in a statement released through Buckingham Palace.

When Camilla married King Charles in 2005, she became the stepmother of his children Prince William and Prince Harry and took over the duties as the Duchess of Cornwall.  Due to their desire to live a more private life away from the spotlight, many forget Camilla had two children of her own when she married Charles.  Camilla has a son, Tom Parker Bowles, and a daughter, Laura Lopes, from her first marriage to Andrew Parker Bowles.The couple was married from 1973 to 1995.The official divorce statement said their marriage was ending because there was "little of common interest between" the couple. While the marriage didn’t work out, the pair managed to raise their children to become highly successful.

A not-so-united front. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will not join the royal family to meet with world leaders ahead of Queen Elizabeth II‘s funeral on Sunday, September 18, after seemingly being uninvited.

The Prince Harry and Meghan Markle drama continued into the weekend as it wasn’t clear if the Sussexes would be attending a pre-funeral reception at Buckingham Palace on the eve of Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral.  The Duke and Duchess of Sussex – who settled in California after stepping down as senior royals in 2020 – reportedly initially received an invitation to the Sunday evening reception, but conflicting reports said they were and weren’t expected to attend.  According to the Telegraph, they have now been uninvited because palace officials insisted that the reception hosted by King Charles III and Camilla, the queen consort, is only for working royals, which Harry and Meghan are not.
