Kim Zolciak-Biermann and Kroy Biermann have called it quits.Both Kim and Kroy filed for divorce on May 5 — shortly after news of their financial and potential legal woes first broke — bringing their romance to an end. The couple's initial flame was first sparked by a chance encounter at a charity event in 2010, followed by a whirlwind romance, a lavish, televised wedding and several children. Together Kim, 44, and Kroy, 37, share Kroy, 11, Kash, 10, and twins, Kaia and Kane, 9. During their marriage, Kroy adopted Kim's oldest daughters, Brielle, 26, and Ariana, 21.With the news of the couple's unexpected split, ET is taking a look back at their romance — from their meet-cute beginning to their most recent breakup.The fateful meeting between Kim and Kroy came at a charity event in 2010, at the «Dancing Stars of Atlanta» gala, where Kroy was competing against Kim's co-star, Shereé Whitfield.

Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann are divorcing after 11 years of marriage. Documents obtained by Fox News Digital revealed the former NFL player filed a divorce petition May 5 in Atlanta "on the ground that the marriage is irretrievably broken."  Zolciak filed her own petition the same day.

Both Kim and Kroy have filed for divorce from one another after 11 years of marriage.In a document obtained by ET, it's revealed that the former NFL player filed for divorce from the  star on May 5, noting the two are in a «bona fide state of separation.»In the doc filed in Georgia's Fulton County, Kroy states that his marriage is «irretrievably broken with no hope of reconciliation.» He is seeking the temporary and permanent sole legal and sole physical custody of the couple's four minor children. He is not seeking custody of their two older kids.Kroy wants child support to be awarded on a temporary and permanent basis, and notes that he «brought certain separate property to the marriage and seeks an award of the same.» Kroy is also seeking that all debts and obligations during the course of the marriage be divided equally and that he be awarded exclusive, temporary and permanent use and possession of the couple's home.Additionally, Kroy is asking for his attorneys' fees and expenses of litigation be paid for within reason. ET has learned that Kim filed her own divorce petition in Fulton County on the same day at Kroy.

Andy Cohen has weighed in on Kim Zolciak-Biermann's divorce and shared that he reached out to the alum following the news. The Bravo executive producer brought up Kim's split from KroyBiermann after over a decade together on his radio show, SiriusXM’s , Tuesday, saying, «I sent my condolences because it's a sad thing. They have kids, and that was just a couple that seemed very much in love.»«I was very surprised.
