A man alleged to have murdered his wife died after suffering 'catastrophic brain damage' while in prison, an inquest has heard.

Five men including one from Glasgow have been jailed for life for the murder of a young businessman as he left a barbecue - but the gunman remains on the run.

At Birmingham Crown Court on Friday, Shire Elmi from Glasgow was handed a life sentence along with Fahmi Daahir, Mustafa Omar, Shire Elmi, Abdirahman Dirie and Abdirahman Yusuf having previously been convicted of murder, perverting the course of justice and arson after a trial.
The 24-year-old Abubaker took nine wounds to the stomach area at Stratford Place, Highgate, and died of his injuries in the early hours of the following morning.
However, the killers were all described as ‘secondary parties’ to the criminal narrative which involved a number of other crooks, including the person who fired upon Mr Abubaker from a three-car convoy of stolen vehicles.
Meaning the person who fired the gun at Stratford Place, Highgate, has still not been caught by the authorities.
In an emotional statement his family described him as a ‘pure soul’ and said they were still struggling to come to terms with the ‘awful living nightmare’ of his death, more than three years on.
They also revealed they had launched a charitable foundation called AR to the World, which had built a primary school in The Gambia in his memory, according to Birmingham Live.
Judge Francis Laird, passing sentence, told the killers: “The investigation into this murder has not revealed the motive for it. However, from the evidence presented at the trial, I am sure it was a well-organised and perfectly-executed plan to kill using a firearm and stolen
