Khloe Kardashian has opened up about her experience with surrogacy in an open and honest discussion, revealing she found it relatively "transactional" and that it left her feeling "guilty". The reality star, 38, welcomed the arrival of her second child with former partner Tristan Thompson via surrogate in July of last year.The couple have five-year-old daughter True together, too. Khloe opened up about the experience in the season three premiere of Hulu's hit series, The Kardashians, on Thursday, while chatting with sister Kim Kardashian and Scott Disick.
Then, speaking to the camera to offer more insight into her thoughts on the situation, Khloe explained she was in a "state of shock" surrounding her baby boy's birth. She said: "I definitely buried my head in the sand during that pregnancy, that I didn't digest what was happening. "So I think when I went to the hospital, I really think that was the first time that it really registered - and it had nothing to do with the baby.
"It's just, you're just like, 'Ok, we're having a baby and this is my son and I'm taking him home with me'. "I definitely was in a state of shock, I think, from my entire experience in general." Footage showed Khloe in the room during the labour, but kept the surrogate privacy. Khloe was seen pulling her face mask down and putting her head in her hands.
She added: "I felt really guilty that this woman just had my baby and I take the baby and I go to another room and you're sort of separated. "I felt it's such a transactional experience because it's not about him." Khloe then said: "I wish someone was honest about surrogacy and the difference of it. It doesn't mean it's bad or good.
