It’s been almost half a year since Netflix’s big flex. At the beginning of this year, the streamer unveiled its big 2022 teaser video, highlighting many of their upcoming films.

As studios meet in Las Vegas to present footage of there upcoming slates to exhibitors,  Netflix is showcasing there own slate of future feature films as it has unveiled its upcoming summer slate of original movies. Some of the films receiving new release dates include the Vampire thriller Day Shift starring Jamie Foxx, which is set to bow on August 12, the Kevin Hart-Mark Wahlberg comedy Me Time, bowing on Aug. 26 and the Dakota Johnson drama Persuasion, bowing July 15.  The streamer also confirmed dates of some highly-anticipated films that had previously been announced like the Adam Sandler sports pic Hustle, which bows on June 8, the Chris Hemsworth-Miles Teller Thriller Spiderhead, which bows on June 17 and most recently the The Russo Brothers next film The Gray Man, starring Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans, which will premiere on July 22.

Kevin Hart announced on Tuesday he is merging his Laugh Out Loud and HartBeat Productions to form HartBeat, a global, multi-platform media company. HartBeat launches with a $100M investment from private equity firm Abry Partners, which took a minority investment in the new company. As part of the deal, Abry Partners partner Nicolas Massard will be joining the HartBeat board.

Angelique Jackson Actor, comedian and writer Ali Wong is set to make her directorial debut, helming an hour-long comedy special for Netflix.After partnering with the streamer for three comedy specials and the rom-com “Always Be My Maybe,” Wong is getting behind the camera to direct fellow comic Sheng Wang’s Netflix debut.Wang’s hour-long special will be filmed on June 12 at The Belasco in Los Angeles and is planned to premiere later this year. Tickets for the show go on sale Friday, April 22 at 10 a.m.

Netflix has acquired worldwide rights to Sony Pictures’ action-comedy The Man from Toronto, starring Kevin Hart and Woody Harrelson, Deadline can confirm. The film previously scheduled for release in theaters on August 12 will now bow on the streamer in all territories apart from China later this year.
