Kevin Feige Teases Scarlet Witch’s Possible MCU Return: “Anything’s Possible In The Multiverse!”

At the D23 Expo last month, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige announced the cast of “Thunderbolts,” the film that will close out MCU‘s Phase 5 in July 2024.

Zack Sharf Marvel has yet to debut a first look photo of Jonathan Majors as Kang the Conquerer in the upcoming “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania,” but expect some serious muscles whenever it does. As part of a Men’s Health cover story, Majors and his team revealed that he packed on 10 pounds of pure muscle to play the Marvel villain. The actor is set to become the new Thanos of the MCU, with Kang’s arc running from “Quantumania” to at least “Avengers: The Kang Dynasty” in May 2025. “It was the character and dimensions of Kang [that drew me to the role],” Majors said. “And the potential that it had. I thought, ‘I’ll take a chance on that.'”

Scarlett Johansson felt “pigeonholed” and “hypersexualized” during the early days of her career, but she sees positive growth in Hollywood.

At this point, four phases in, Kevin Feige and Marvel Studios have enlisted dozens of Hollywood A-listers for the MCU frontlines. And big-name actors want to work for the franchise juggernaut too, but there remain a few names that haven’t yet made their first Marvel appearance.

Zack Sharf Hugh Jackman’s surprise return as Wolverine in “Deadpool 3” is one of the biggest film stories of the week, but Marvel stalwart Elizabeth Olsen is only just finding out about it. The Scarlet Witch got the news about about Jackman’s return broken to her ‘On the Carpet,’ powered by DIRECTV at Variety’s Power of Women, and she expressed shock over the revelation. “Oh really?” Olsen asked when she heard the news. “Wow!” Now that Jackman is returning as Wolverine, Olsen wants Scarlet Witch to team up with more X-Men characters on the big screen. After all, the character of Scarlet Witch is a mutant in the comic books and the daughter of Magneto, played by both Ian McKellen and Michael Fassbender on the big screen.

Marvel boss Kevin Feige has said it was “much too soon” to recast Chadwick Boseman in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.The film producer reflected on the forthcoming sequel in an interview with Empire, explaining where the franchise will go in light of the death of Boseman who played T’Challa in the first film.“It just felt like it was much too soon to recast,” Feige said, before referring to the ethos of the Marvel comics.“Stan Lee always said that Marvel represents the world outside your window,” he continued.“And we had talked about how, as extraordinary and fantastical as our characters and stories are, there’s a relatable and human element to everything we do. The world is still processing the loss of Chad.

“Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” is a landmark for several reasons: it’s the final film in MCU‘s Phase 4; it’s Ryan Coogler‘s first movie since the 2018 film; and this sequel doesn’t star Chadwick Boseman, who passed away in August 2020 when the movie was in development. But Coogler and the “Wakana Forever” cast vowed to make a movie that lives up to the late actor’s legacy.
