Keanu Reeves Exits Hulu’s ‘The Devil In The White City’

In the book, which is excerpted today in the New York Post, the Friends actor repeatedly expresses such sentiments about Reeves, who counted Phoenix among his closest friends.

Not only was Keanu Reeves set to make the jump to prestige TV dramas for the series, produced by Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio, no less, but Todd Field was aboard to direct.

Hulu is now searching for a new director and star for its upcoming limited series The Devil In The White City. Director Todd Field is the latest to depart the project, sources confirmed to Deadline. Hulu declined comment.

Field most recently wrote and directed the Cate Blanchett-led drama feature “Tár,” which debuted at the 2022 Venice International Film Festival.
