Katie Price will avoid jail time for speeding as her driving offence is being dealt with remotely under the single justice procedure. The 44 year old glamour model has been charged after allegedly speeding over the 60mph limit in her BMW near her house – dubbed the 'mucky mansion – in Horsham, on 17 September 2021. Reality star Katie is not obliged to appear in court as it can be dealt with by a fine and/or points on her license and a driving ban. She cannot be jailed under the procedure.
Her case is listed at Crawley Magistrates Court, but it will be dealt remotely under the Single Justice Procedure, which was set up in 2015 to deal with minor traffic offences and low-level fare evasion. Defendants can manage their cases in writing.” It adds that defendants who plead not guilty “have to go to court and give information to the magistrates in person.” Katie will be told her results later today, Tuesday 24 May.
News of her latest court appearance comes after Katie celebrated her birthday with her other half Carl Woods on Sunday 22 May. Carl, 33, took to his Instagram to share a loved-up snap where Katie could be seen leaning into him with her arm around the back of his chair. In a gushing caption, Carl wrote: "Happy Birthday Dolly @katieprice.
You’re truly unique and definitely one of a kind. Can’t wait to share the rest of your birthdays with you. "P.S you are an absolute bag of heat at 44," and he followed the loved-up message with a flame emoji.
