After her biological dad left the family home when she was four, Katie ditched the Infield and took her stepdad Paul Price's surname. However, as she started work as a model the then 17-year-old took on the name Jordan that launched her career. Speaking about the choice, Katie has said she thought the name was catchy and also that she didn't want her surname to be known to protect the identity of her mum who was working in the City at the time.
"My mum was working in the City," she previously told The Telegraph. "She didn't want people to know I was her daughter." Following her appearance on ITV's I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here in 2004, she ditched the nickname in favour of the name she used growing up - Katie Price.
