Sunshine Hair and Beauty in Madeline Court in Mansfield, hosted the star and her make-up artist for the sold-out event on Tuesday, May 17. Katie shared her favourite beauty looks with the class while make-up artist Fern Howe-Shepherd recreated them on the day using a mix of high street and designer cosmetics. This was a first for the salon which will have been opened ten years in September.
Salon owner Charlotte Hardy said: "Katie wrote on her Instagram that she was looking for people to host a masterclass so I inboxed her and it went from there. Everyone loved the class and she was an absolute pleasure. "Tickets went on sale for £80 through the Katie Price website and sold out quickly.
As well as entry, the ticket price included a goodie bag, worth that contained items like make-up brushes, candles and wax melts. There were around 30 people in attendance on the night which packed out the salon. "We hadn't done a make-up class like that before so this was the first one.
I was nervous to see how many people would turn up or how it would go or what sort of advertisement this would be for my business. Katie had her makeup done by a makeup artist while people watched and could ask questions. We would love to do this again if we get the opportunity," Charlotte said.
She added: "Katie was so friendly and spoke to everybody there. She was very pleasant and down to earth. She was so lovely to meet and a real joy to work with.
"Customers were thrilled with the chance to meet the star and wrote on the salon's Facebook that it had been an 'amazing' night. One person wrote: "Amazing night thanks girls loved it. "
