Katie Price hit with slew of Ofcom complaints after GMB appearance explaining drink-drugs crash

Katie Price's recent appearance on Good Morning Britain has been hit with a slew of Ofcom complaints after she explained her drink-driving crash.
The mum-of-five appeared on the ITV breakfast show last week with son Harvey and explained she is "ashamed" of the crash, before opening up about the "traumatic events" that led up to her getting behind the wheel last year.
After appearing on the show and chatting about the crash to GMB host Susanna Reid, the reality star was hit by a wave of complaints to the broadcasting watchdog as 53 viewers spoke out about her.
During the interview, the 43-year-old vowed that 2022 would "definitely" be her year as she admitted a lot had happened in 2021.
"2022 is definitely my year - 22 is my lucky number... this has to be my year of no dramas. So much has happened last year," she said during the chat with host Susanna Reid, who pointed out: "You must be thankful that you're not in jail... you managed to avoid a jail sentence, things could have been very different."
"The events leading up to it were very traumatic, I'm not ready to talk about it yet," Katie said, as she explained she was seeing a therapist weekly, "There's reasons why I got in that car, my mental state. I feel ashamed about it.
"When I'm ready to talk about it, I'll come on here. I just think that people shouldn't judge."
The Mirror contacted representatives for Katie regarding the complaints made to Ofcom.
Last year, Katie crashed her Range Rover in the early morning near her home in Sussex and at the time told police officers that she'd taken drugs and shouldn't be driving.
Roadside tests undertaken at the scene showed she had cocaine in her system and she was almost twice the legal limit of alcohol.
