Kate Lawler spills on intense Big Brother auditions – from psych tests to endless forms

Kate Lawler has revealed what members of the public applying for Big Brother will be put through, following ITV's confirmation that the show is returning for the first time in almost five years. The legendary programme is set to return to our screens in 2023 with a brand new house and the public will be playing a crucial role once again, as contestants go through ''clever tasks, nail-biting nominations and live evictions''.
Now, 42 year old Kate, who emerged victorious on the 2002 series of the then-Channel 4 programme, has dished out juicy details about the lengthy application process and what it's really like inside TV's most iconic house, in an exclusive chat with OK! magazine. Speaking at the Tesco x Skin Republic launch event, Kate branded Big Brother's comeback as "very, very exciting" and reminisced about why she decided to apply.
The reality star explained that it was actually her twin sister Karen who was the real fan of the show. Kate told OK!: ''I was never supposed to do Big Brother, it was my twin sister.
She was supposed to do it, she was the Big Brother superfan. I printed out the application process for her and I rung her and I said it's 60 pages long or 50 pages long and she was like, 'I'm not doing that, you do it' and I was like, 'really?'.'' It worked out for both of them in the end though, as Karen felt it was the most incredible experience to watch her twin on TV, while Kate said winning £70,000 was the ''best thing that's ever happened to me''.
