Kate Garraway has pleaded with her fans for 'urgent help' after she accidentally left husband Derek Draper’s vital medical supplies in a black cab.
The Good Morning Britain presenter's husband is still recovering from Covid after he was admitted to intensive care with back in March 2020. In a desperate bid to get the equipment back, Kate took to social media to beg her fans for some help.
The 55-year-old tweeted: "@BC_Lostproperty help!! Have just brought Derek home in a mobility black cab from hospital for a weekend visit. I have left a case with all his meds and kit in the front.
“The driver recognised me but may not know it’s there - please look and get in touch - need urgently!!"
Thankfully, Kate's fans stepped up to the mark as one revealed that they knew the driver and had already been in touch with him.
The helpful fan wrote: “I know the driver Kate as he mentioned he'd taken you and your husband to me this evening. I’m trying to get in touch right now.”
Meanwhile, another penned: "Thank god the driver recognised you Kate. Hopefully the cab driver will have recognised Derek as well and will realise Derek needs his meds and the kit you left in the front of the cab.”
Kate's beloved husband Derek spent more than a year in hospital after being struck by Covid in March 2020. He returned home over a year later and now receives 24-hour care.
Derek's condition after Covid is so bad that Kate previously admitted that if Derek was left unaided for three days in a row, he could die. Kate is currently caring for Derek herself and has insisted that she will never give up on the hopes that he will return to full health.
