Jurgen Klopp puts pressure back on Man City after Liverpool FC win game in hand vs Leeds

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp expressed the significance of his side's 6-0 win over Leeds on Wednesday that cut the gap to Manchester City to just three points in the Premier League.
With City losing to Tottenham at the weekend, Liverpool's two wins in the last five days have seen a nine point gap reduced to just three, and both sides have now played the same amount of games for the first time in weeks. The sides clash at the Etihad on April 10, meaning Liverpool are firmly back in the title race if they can match City's results and win that meeting.
However, with Liverpool contesting Chelsea in the Carabao Cup final this weekend, City have a quick chance to re-establish a six point lead when they travel to Everton on Saturday, even if it hands Liverpool a game in hand again.
And speaking after Liverpool's thrashing of Leeds, Klopp reiterated his pre-match claim that his side are only focussed on themselves and will focus on their own games rather than City's.
"We don't chase City, we try to win our football games," he said. "Obviously we have our cup final at the weekend, City play before and they might win, so it [the lead] could be six points again before we next play.
"I'm not sure whether we play before or after them in the game after, so it might be nine points all of a sudden. We don't have to count these kind of things, we just have to win our football games."
After next weekend's fixtures, both sides are in FA Cup action, before Liverpool take on West Ham on Saturday March 5. With City hosting rivals Manchester United the following day, Klopp's 'nine point' comment isn't strictly true.
However, the Liverpool boss insists that West Ham clash is by no means a guaranteed three points.
