Judi Love praises Strictly's Rose for 'bringing awareness to the deaf community' ahead of final

The winner of Celebrity MasterChef has been crowned this Christmas. Comedian Judi Love was given the honour of Celebrity MasterChef festive champion for 2021.

Strictly Come Dancing, having lifted the Glitterball last year with celeb partner Bill Bailey. Tonight (December 21), John Torode and Gregg Wallace present the first of two festive specials in which previous contestants are invited back to the MasterChef kitchen.

Rose Ayling-Ellis, the actress who this year became the first deaf contestant on BBC One’s Strictly Come Dancing, is now also the first deaf winner of the British dance competition series, after triumphing in its 19th season.

Giovanni Pernice got teary during Sunday's results episode of Strictly Come Dancing as he made the final with Rose Ayling-Ellis. During the latest instalment, it was announced that the duo had made it to Saturday's 2021 final along with AJ Odudu and Kai Widdrington, and John Whaite and Johannes Radebe.

The weeks have flown by and the Glitterball is in sight for the five remaining stars on Strictly Come Dancing.
