Judd Apatow and Jason Bateman Take You to Film School for a Master Class in Directing

Did you like “Mank” but really wish it was about “The Godfather” and not in black and white? And not directed by David Fincher? And not about “Citizen Kane?” Well, okay, maybe Barry Levinson’s upcoming film about the making of “The Godfather” doesn’t share too much with Fincher’s award-winning Netflix film, but they’re both about the making of classic films and they’re both getting pretty great casts.

The Directors Guild of America on Tuesday announced the feature-film and first-time director nominees for the 2021 DGA Awards. The feature-film director nominees are Minari's Lee Isaac Chung, Promising Young Woman's Emerald Fennell, Mank's David Fincher, Trial of the Chicago 7's Aaron Sorkin and Nomadland's Chloé Zhao.

Universal Pictures has set an August 12, 2022 release date for Bros, the Billy Eichner-starring romantic comedy produced by Judd Apatow. The film will portray two men maybe, possibly, probably stumbling towards love.
