Independent Journal Review reporting that the veteran panelist could be gearing up to announce her retirement “any day now.”“Fake news,” her rep told The Post Tuesday, revealing that Behar has signed another three-year deal with ABC. The new contract will keep her tied to the network until 2025. It’s unclear how much money ABC forked out for Behar, although it’s likely that they’re paying the controversial comedian a handsome eight-figure sum.
Behar — who is the only original panelist remaining at “The View” — was purportedly paid $7 million per year as part of her previous three-year deal with the network. The high-powered star could now command even more, given that ABC is still struggling to replace Meghan McCain’s spot on “The View”, almost a year after the conservative commentator quit the show. At present, there are just four full-time co-hosts of “The View,” with Behar appearing alongside Whoopi Goldberg, Sunny Hostin and Sara Haines.
Ana Navarro appears one day a week. Behar moderates the show every Friday and also filled in when Goldberg was spectacularly suspended from the show for two weeks in February for saying the Holocaust wasn’t about race. Rumors that Behar was set to leave “The View” have been perpetuated by the star. The funnywoman told reporter Ramin Setoodeh in 2020 that it was unlikely she would sign a new contract with ABC in 2022.
“I have a three-year contract,” Behar told Setoodeh in his best-selling book about “Ladies Who Punch: The Explosive Inside Story of ‘The View.’ “ “I don’t see myself staying for more [time]. That’s it! I could be wrong. If I’m as fabulous in [2022] as I am now, I’ll think about,” she added.

Liz Cheney was among the 47 Republicans who voted with Democrats to codify same-sex marriage rights this week, but “The View” co-host Joy Behar is definitely skeptical of her motives. She believes Cheney only did so because someone in her family is directly impacted by the vote.Cheney’s decision to vote in favor of the bill is notable, considering her past record on the issue, which drew notoriety for being the exact opposite of her parents and her sister, Mary Cheney, who is gay.
Taron Egerton can't seem to escape the rumors. The 32-year-old actor denied more theories that he's set to play the iconic character, speaking up on SiriusXM's Pop Culture Spotlight with Jessica Shaw this week. The tidbit marks over two years of speculation surrounding Egerton's potential casting — ET first spoke to him about the rumor at 2019 Comic-Con. «It's really flattering that people think that I'm the guy to do it,» Egerton said this week, «but there's no truth.» In 2019, Egerton voiced an almost identical sentiment.
Joy Behar doesn’t have much faith in the human race – particularly the politicians running it – right now. During Tuesday’s episode of “The View,” the host put it bluntly: “The world is on a suicide mission.”Behar’s thoughts came as the panel was discussing climate change, a conversation that has been reignited in light of massive heat waves and weather disasters around the world. This week, people in Texas were hit with power outages resulting from high temperatures, while waves in Hawaii flooded way past shorelines.
Zack Sharf “The View“ hosts are at odds over Joe Biden’s decision to fist bump Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman during a meeting on Friday in Saudi Arabia to discuss oil prices and more. Biden has been criticized for the fist bump since the Saudi Crown Prince allegedly ordered the 2018 assassination of Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi.“This is a murderer. You don’t normalize a murderer by this fist bump,” Sunny Hostin said during Monday’s episode.
The hosts of “The View” largely defended President Biden on Monday morning, after his fist bump with the Saudi Crown Prince went viral this weekend. But Sunny Hostin was the outlier at the table, scolding the president for “normalizing a murderer.”As part of his trip to Saudi Arabia — which he faced criticisms for even going through with — Biden met with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Friday. Shortly thereafter, images and video of the President fist-bumping the royal sparked outrage, considering Bin Salman ordered the 2018 assassination of Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi.
Don’t count him out just yet! JAY-Z might not be in the studio right now, but he’s not saying he’s retired from the music game, either. The 52-year-old sat down with Kevin Hart for the comedian’s “Hart to Heart” series on Peacock, where he addressed those pesky retirement rumors, and how taking his first-ever vacation and becoming a father impacted his approach to his career.

is a woman “and she was grossly misinformed and saying things that were inaccurate.” She agreed with Goldberg that it’s concerning to see just how many men have played a part in anti-abortion legislation.“I think it’s scary to see how many men who have been mostly involved in crafting these laws have no idea about a woman’s reproductive system, about a little girl’s reproductive system,” she said. “And the fact that a 10 year old can have her period, can get pregnant, and that these things will happen.
