Johnny Depp’s legal team have claimed a photo of Amber Heard's bloodied lip are ‘fake’.
Johnny and Amber are currently in court fighting a multimillion dollar libel case as he sues his ex-wife for defamation, and she countersues.
Lawyers representing Aquaman actress Amber submitted a photo of her with a bloodied lip and a message on paper thought to be written by Johnny.
However the judge will not include the submission in the case after agreeing that it was not offered up in time.
The picture is now said to be from 2012, which is a year after Amber claimed the first violent incident in the relationship took place.
TMZ website, who have the photo, were told by an insider that Amber had a "mix-up" in her dates.
Her spokesperson told Metro : "The panicked Depp’s team is fighting tooth and nail to prevent compelling evidence of abuse and photos such as this from being introduced.
"They continue their losing strategy: distract the jury and demonise the defendant."
Amber told the court last week of the moment she was allegedly attacked by Johnny.
She said: "I was in one of these fights. I believe it’s this one, in his downtown ECB, we call it, loft, and we’re in the kitchen living room area and he backhands me.
"He wears a lot of rings. I remember just feeling like my lip went into my teeth, and it got a little blood on the wall.
"Just that simple, a little bit of blood on the wall."
