Scots actor John Barrowman was left shaken after witnessing a car plough into crowds of people in Berlin - leaving one person dead and at least 30 injured.
A small silver Renault Clio struck pedestrians on the street before smashing into a department store window 200 metres away in Charlottenburg, Berlin, Germany.
The Dr Who star, 55, who is understood to be holidaying in the German capital, was at the scene when the car struck crowds and told how he hid behind a tree to protect himself.
In a video shared on Twitter the actor said: "We think we have witnessed a terrorist attack here in Berlin - we’re not sure.
"There are people's dead bodies all over the place, we’ve seen a car that came down the road and ended up in a storefront covering three city blocks it’s pretty horrific."
John's voice began to shake as he continued: "The car came down from the pavement then came onto the road, hit somebody and drove down the road and back onto the pavement.
"They've come back onto the pavement, gone through a bunch of people, gone through [the photograph that I posted of] a café then right onto a storefront window.
"I heard the bang and a crash when I was in a store and when we came out, we just saw the carnage."
John told how he could see a dead body lying in the middle of the street.
Describing the scene, he added that there was a heavy police and ambulance presence and rescue helicopters had arrived.
His voice full of emotion, he said: "This is really bad. There's multiple fatalities, hundreds of emergency services that are in the area that are blocking city blocks off. The cordon keeps expanding."
