Joan Rivers would have celebrated her 90th birthday on June 8, but the late famous, fashionable comedian probably would have kept things quieter, according to her daughter. "No, it would not have been a big blow out," Melissa Rivers told Fox News Digital. "She would not have appreciated that." "I think she probably [would have] wanted to spend it with some friends, me, and Cooper [Melissa’s son].
You know, I'm sure we would have done something, but not some big, huge celebration." There is another honor on the horizon for the late comedian that is cause for celebration. Joan is being inducted into the National Comedy Center museum, with a dedicated exhibit honoring her life and work. "I'm incredibly honored and excited that she will be a part of it.
It's a wonderful place to properly store the archives so that they are preserved," Rivers said. "And in a funny twist of fate, my mother headlined their comedy festival in 2011… And at that festival they announced that they were going to do this museum. And it's really about the craft of comedy. It's just a very nice bow [on it] that she was there when it was announced and that the archives are going to be on display there." Joan is being inducted on her 90th birthday, with the exhibit – along with an interactive element – launching in 2025, allowing visitors to comb through the archives in detail.

Brian Steinberg Senior TV Editor Pharmaceutical giant GlaxoSmithKline is going to dramatic lengths to get consumers thinking about the challenges of Meningitis B. Rather than pepper Lifetime’s TV schedule with traditional ads about the disease, GSK has commissioned a short film on the subject, in which actor Soleil Moon Frye talks to parents and experts. Her efforts will show up in a three-minute vignette that appears during certain Lifetime movies; a 17-minute film made available via a bespoke digital site; and in “snackable” lengths via social and other venues. Melissa Joan Hart, who was, like Frye, a popular child actor and is a regular in Lifetime’s movies, will also appear in the vignettes, which will appear on digital outlets first and then on the cable network starting June 25.

If you did something wrong, you raped a woman, yeah, you gotta do more than apologize, but at the same time, that’s not something you stand strong about.“But if you have a position and a belief and people come at you for it, everybody is folding!” Last month, Snider agreed with Kiss’ Paul Stanley’s stance on youths undergoing sex reassignment surgery.“There is a BIG difference between teaching acceptance and normalizing and even encouraging participation in a lifestyle that confuses young children into questioning their sexual identification as though some sort of game and then parents in some cases allow it,” Stanley tweeted.“There ARE individuals who as adults may decide reassignment is their needed choice but turning this into a game or parents normalizing it as some sort of natural alternative or believing that because a little boy likes to play dress up in his sister’s clothes or a girl in her brother’s, we should lead them steps further down a path that’s far from the innocence of what they are doing,” Stanley added.Snider, ordinarily a staunch supporter of left-wing politics, commented, “well said.” Like Stanley and Kiss, he and Twisted Sister were almost as well-known for their makeup, hair and outlandish costumes as for their music back in their prime. “You know what? There was a time where I ‘felt pretty’ too.
