Girl vs Cancer was started by BBC podcast host Laura Mahon after she was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer back in 2016. She wanted to create a safe space to talk about cancer and honest personal experiences after being fed up with the perception that the disease was for the over fifties.
