BBC EastEnders actress Tilly Keeper (Louise Mitchell) will have a starring role in the upcoming series of Netflix thriller, You. Tilly, 25, posted the new trailer for series four, which dropped this week, on her Instagram together with the caption: "Hello, @younetflix… YOU Season 4 Part 1 premieres February 10, Part 2 premieres March 10 #TUDUM." The ex Albert Square resident who played Phil Mitchell's daughter is putting the Vic far behind her and will play Lady Phoebe, an aristocratic socialite, in the new series of the twisted drama starring Penn Badgley.Tilly joined EastEnders back in 2016 and will feature in the fourth season of the immensely addictive psychological thriller, which is has been filmed in the UK this time as opposed to its usual location in the States - a world away from Albert Square.

EastEnders fans may have just welcomed back Shane Richie’s Alfie Moon, but his return could be short-lived as new photos from from the set show that Alfie has managed to find himself at the wrong end of a gun. Alfie made his return to the square determined to win back ex-wife Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace), despite her engagement to Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden). As the wedding approached, both Kat and Phil had exes confess their love and try to convince against the marriage.

EastEnders legendary character Janine Butcher is set to say farewell to the Square later this year, just 18 months after actress Charlie Brooks returned to Walford. Charlie, 41, reprised her role as the soap's love to hate character in September last year after a seven year hiatus and has announced that her time as Janine has come to an end - for now! “I was only ever due back to EastEnders for a year, but when [exec producer] Chris Clenshaw presented me with his idea for the story, I couldn’t say no to staying a little longer," she told The Sun on Sunday.

EastEnders bosses shelved their plans for their controversial storyline that would have seen Dot Cotton's association with Walford come to an end. June Brown, who played Dot for more than 30 years, died at the age of 95 back in April.The actress played Dot from 1985 - the year the soap started - all the way to 2020, but now her on-screen granddaughter Dotty is the only person left from her family tree remaining on Albert Square.

Des Coleman hosted today's weather forecast to the delight of viewers who took to Twitter to praise him as a presenter.The popular weatherman is of course familiar to viewers having had career as an actor, even landing a role in EastEnders playing Lenny Wallace from 1996 to 1999. EastEnders fans praised the BBC One soap on Monday as it made a "touching" tribute to Queen Elizabeth II after she died aged 96 on the 8 September. Five years after playing the late Dame Barbara Windsor in BBC biopic Babs, Jaime Winstone has stepped into her shoes once again.The 37-year-old actress appears as a younger version of the icon’s most famous character, Peggy Mitchell, in a flashback episode of EastEnders and says, “It’s a real honour.” While her role in Babs covered Barbara’s childhood, early romances and rise to fame in the Carry On films in detail, Jaime felt like her “journey with Barbara” hadn’t really finished and revealed she even felt she had received a sign from the late soap favourite to accept her latest portrayal. “When I got offered the part, I thought, ‘God, is this something I should do? Am I risking getting typecast?’" says Jaime. "So I did actually have a little word with Barbara up above and I got my sign and I felt like it was written for me.
