The film follows Joy (Banks), a traditional 1960s housewife who unexpectedly falls pregnant and finds the Janes, an underground abortion movement led by Virginia (Weaver).

All Of Us Are Dead star Park Ji-hu has opened up about the series’ success and her newfound social media fame.In a recent interview with South Korean news outlet Yonhap News Agency, Park said that it was unreal to have the social media following she’s earned after the premiere of All Of Us Are Dead. According to Yonhap, the actress’ follower count on Instagram has gone up over “80 times” since the show’s premiere, and currently sits at 2.5million.“I can see the numbers on Instagram or read news reports, but it looks surreal.

Ryusuke Hamaguchi’s Drive My Car made history this morning, becoming the first Japanese film ever to score an Oscar nomination for Best Picture. What’s more, Hamaguchi is now only the third Japanese filmmaker to be nominated in the Best Director category. With nods in further key categories Best International Feature and Best Adapted Screenplay, Drive My Car has four nominations total, tying Akira Kurosawa’s Ran as the most-nominated film ever from Japan (though the latter was a French co-production).

Day6 member Wonpil has made his solo debut with the full-length album ‘Pilmography’.The South Korean musician released the 10-track ‘Pilmography’ at 6pm KST today (February 7), alongside a music video for title track ‘Voiceless’. In a pre-recorded press event celebrating the release, Wonpil spoke about how he hoped the album would  “comfort and heal people, especially among times of trouble”, per Korea Herald.“The title of my album ‘Pilmography’ is a [combined] term of my name and the term filmography, and I gave a little tweak by adding the letter ‘P’ from my name,” he said, adding that the record will be like the filmography of his life so far.However, plans for Wonpil to promote the album have been postponed as the singer was recently in close contact with a COVID-19 positive case.

As the second non-English-language series to reach that position, the K-drama has helped set a new record for South Korea.Thanks to the success of Squid Game and All Of Us Are Dead, Korea is now the first country to place multiple series not in the English language at the top of the streaming service’s charts, according to Deadline.

All Of Us Are Dead has topped Netflix charts worldwide.According to data from analytics company FlixPatrol, the show topped the streaming platform’s charts in over 25 countries since its premiere on January 28, including in South Korea, Thailand and Singapore. Notably, it’s the third Korean series to achieve such a feat, following the success of Squid Game and Hellbound.In a recent interview with Edaily Korea, All Of Us Are Dead director Lee Jae-gyu opened up about his surprise at the show’s global success.

Love And Leashes. The trailer opens with Jung Ji-hoo (played by former U-KISS and UNB member Lee Jun-young) on his first day at a new company, where he’s introduced to a colleague who bears a similar sounding name to his, Jung Ji-woo (Girls’ Generation‘s Seohyun).Things quickly spiral after a parcel that was supposedly addressed to Ji-hoo gets delivered to Ji-woo’s desk, who opens it to find a curious spiked collar. Ji-hoo tries to play off as being for his fictional three-year-old poodle, but Ji-woo quickly learns the truth.“Ji-woo, I was wondering… would you be my master?” Ji-hoo asks Ji-woo in a drunken stupor, marking the start of a racy new relationship between the two colleagues.The upcoming Netflix original film Love And Leashes revolves around a pair of co-workers, Ji-woo and Ji-hoo, who enter a contractual S&M relationship. Love And Leashes is based on the Naver webcomic Moral Sense by Gyeowool.The movie will be directed and written by Park Hyeon-jin, and is due out on February 11 exclusively on the streaming platform.

Pachinko, and also annocuned its release date.Earlier today (January 27), the streaming service released a series of images from the forthcoming TV adaptation of Pachinko, the bestselling novel by Min Jin Lee. The show is slated to premiere on March 25 with three episodes, followed by weekly instalments every Friday  thereafter.The images feature the first glimpses of Minari actress and Academy Award winner Youn Yuh-jung as leading protagonist Sunja.
