Jay Hernandez Thanks Fans After 'Magnum P.I.' Gets Picked Up By NBC

Jay Hernandez is giving a shout out to Magnum P.I. fans after the show was saved from cancellation.
If you missed it, the action series was axed by CBS in the last round of cancellations a few months ago. However, NBC picked up the series and issued a two-season order for it.
Now, Jay, as well as co-stars Perdita Weeks, Stephen Hill and Zachary Knighton, are sharing their thanks to fans for sticking with them.

“Ok, I’m sure by now you have all heard the great news. Magnum P.I. got picked up for a fifth season. Thank you to the fans for the tremendous effort,” he shared in the clip. “I mean, you guys had petitions going, you got a billboard in Times Square. Because of all that noise you made, we now have a new home at NBC. See you in Season 5!”
Perdita also shared her love on Instagram, writing, “Off to the see the Ohana on the platform.
Stephen tweeted “aloha nui loa a hui hou,” which translates to “love you so much.” Hill also shared on Instagram that he is “So thankful to work with THESE folks on THIS show and to create THE BEST FANS we could ever ask for!”
Meanwhile, Zachary spoke to ET, revealing that the whole cast is very excited.
“Yes, I talked to everybody, everyone was so excited about the show coming back,” he shared. “We really love this show so much and honestly we could not have done it without the fans. I mean, the fans have been incredible. I’ve never seen anything like it. It’s amazing and it’s so touching and, you know, this one’s for the fans, we’re just so, so excited.”
